Beaver Moon : This Friday there will be the last supermoon event this year – the last supermoon is the Beaver Moon.
The Beaver Moon Moon will reach its peak brightness at 4:30 p.m. ET on Friday November 15th. Because of standard time which came into practice this year and brings earlier sunset, the East Coast residents will not have long to wait to enjoy this spectacle.
Not only do different Full Moons have different traditional names; these names are based on the change of the seasons and the Native Americans in the U.S. The term Beaver Moon came from the Native American tribes because beavers get busy building their dams during this time of the year the Farmer’s Almanac. Othe rFull Moons names during November include the Deer Rutting Moon as well as Digging Moon to point at how animals get ready for the chilly months ahead.

November’s full Moon can be described as a Supermoon because it is associated with Moon’s perigee, the point in its orbit that is nearest to the Earth.
This is the second Supermoon in a row for late 2024, after the October’s Hunter Moon.
Following the Beaver Moon, there will be the Leonids meteor shower which will be visible overnight on November 17 and through the early morning of November 18.
Before we get to January 2025, the last complete Moon of the year, the Cold Moon, will occur on December 15.
